- Molyvos or Mithymna which is the ancient name, but also the official one today, is 62 km away from the island's capital and is a traditional medieval settlement, which fascinates with its architecture, picturesqueness and view of the Aegean Sea.

It is built amphitheatrically, a painting, with its Medieval Castle at the top from where the settlement begins to end at the sea. At night, like a chandelier hanging from the sky and with the Castle impressing.

In Molyvos you will walk on the enchanting cobbled streets you will climb stairs that will guide you to its picturesque neighborhoods.

Molyvos in 1956 was declared a protected settlement and in 1987 an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
